fear

Running, Running, Running

As fast as you can.

Sweat dripping from your forehead

Muscles tightening throughout your body

Precious oxygen leaving your body

As you run away.

You turn around and you see what is chasing you

Nothing.

You don't see anything.

You stop running,

But you still feel like something is chasing you.

Paranoia fills your body and mind.

You can't remember why you were running,

And you can't remember what was chasing you.

You begin to think you are going crazy,

But as you sit down,

You begin to see what was chasing you.

You begin to see why you were running.

What was chasing you was not from the outstide,

It was from the inside.

You have been running all you life

And bring up imaginary beings to explain your fear.

Water is covering your face,

Not from sweat,

But from tears.

You are crying your heart out.

You look up at the sky and ask for help.

Will it come?
