anticipation
Waiting, waiting, waiting,
That is all I can do right now.
I cannot speed up time
Or change where I am.
I close my eyes and I see you;
Your face, your smile, your eyes
Your beauty is unmatched.
I open my eyes and look out the window.
All I see is clouds, dark clouds.
I look elsewhere for your beauty
But it is nowhere to be found.
My patience begins to deminish.
I close my eyes again and I can feel you,
Holding me gently in your arms,
And kissing me softly on my forehead.
As I drift into my thoughts
Time goes by and when I awake,
I see your face, and all I can do is smile.
